Inspired by the vernacular warehouse architecture of Charlotte’s eclectic South End neighborhood, the office building defines boutique infill development. Previously passed over by developers due to its irregular shaped site, the project demanded a unique solution that was not only functional but reflected the character of the neighborhood in a fresh manner. The careful selection of tumbled Chicago Blue brick and exposed steel combine to create a building in harmony with it’s surroundings. With 45,000 sf of leasable area over three floors the offset core provides maximum efficiency and unobstructed views of the Charlotte skyline.
Located on what is quickly becoming one of Charlotte’s most dynamic streets, this 17,500 sf shell retail building will command attention in its surroundings. Even as a new construction project in a historic context, the building is designed to reflect a quitely whimsical character in this area of the South End neighborhood. The use of glazed brick, generous glass storefronts and vibrant wall tile all provide a fresh take on the traditional retail shell.
